I loved Saturday! Iloved the way Mark "broke" us apart into the many different sections. Funny how Connie and I started out next to each other, then were across the room from each other, then when we got to the birthdays, we were back together (she's July 5 and I'm July 11). I also met two other marathoners with the same birthday as mine. The walk was so much easier than the Saturday before in Belhaven. Of course, I promised my "whipper-snapper" friends that I was not going to try to keep up with them. I went at my own pace, which really isn't that slow, and I felt like I could do the 1½ mile walk again. Although I didn't do it again in Clinton, I felt like I did it while shopping with my mother. Each day seems to get easier and easier but then again, we'll be walking those hills in Belhaven again this Saturday! Slow and steady, up and down those hills should make it better than the first time. Training is fun!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful week!
About Me
- Name: LegalSec
- Location: Brandon, Mississippi, United States
My husband and I live in a cozy patio home at the Rez with our 8-year old Wiemaraner, Libby, and 2-year-old Yorkie, Lulu. My mother and her Chihauhua moved in with us in January. I am a mother of three (2 boys, 1 girl) and grandmother of five (4 girls, 1 boy). My kids all live in other states so I don't get to see them often, but we talk, email and the grandchildren I watch grow through pictures. I do get to see them about twice a year.

It is getting easier, isn't it? it's amazing that before we started, I could hardly walk a mile. now I can go longer than I would have ever imagined. Chicago here we come!

I'm so glad you are feeling good! I does make a difference when you go your own pace. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other!

Great job! I'm proud of you! I'm still tossing around the idea of doing the race with you. I'd love to do it, but stubborn me would want to run the whole thing and probably kill myself. I've been talking about it with Amy and she said that she's not planning on doing anything because she has learned that making plans doesn't really pay off with her (partly because of your granddaughter). So she is all for it, but is just tentatively planning on going. Keep up the great work! Just keep that goal in mind. Crossing that finish line will not only reward you physically, but it will reward you mentally. After a marathon, is there really anything you can't accomplish?
